Situated on a rocky outcropping in Tofino, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, the Wickaninnish Inn is blessed with a fabulous panoramic view. The hotel stands between the Pacific Ocean, Chesterman beach and a forest of giant evergreens. The design of its two buildings was entrusted to several artists, including the celebrated wood carver Henry Nolla, with the aim of blending art, nature and culture. The rooms with their cedar wood panelling, stone fireplaces and big bay windows, offer grandiose views of the waves breaking on the shore. After a plant or marine-based treatment and an initiation to sea kayaking, you could even set off to see schools of whales just a few miles offshore.
